Seminars

I offer a series of seminars and workshops. The seminars focus on three areas: creating learning organizations, how to trek through midlife by preparing to reinvent yourself, and the third is a monthly round table for nonprofit chief executive officers. The workshops focus on the art of management, strategic planning, and governance.

Each September, I offer the Learning Organization Seminar. Limited to six participants, we read, discuss and learn how to apply the strategies and tools in Peter Senge et al.'s The Fifth Discipline Handbook to our professional lives and that of our organizations. This seminar meets for eight 11/2 hour sessions. The fee is $400.

Once a month from September through June, I host and facilitate a seminar that I call the CEOs' Forum. It is a breakfast round table, which focuses on a variety of topics of interest and concern to chief executive officers. These sessions are small and intimate and are held in an easily accessible location within greater Boston. These sessions currently are limited to no more than eight individuals. The fee is $10 plus the cost of your breakfast.

Annual Spring Retreat on Governance and Strategic Planning

In late Spring, I lead a seminar on the governance of nonprofit organizations and the role of governing bodies in strategic planning. It is held at a resort hotel in Southern Maine and runs from Friday evening through Sunday morning. The fee for this is approximately $275 per person and includes Friday evening dinner, Saturday lunch, a copy of Cardinal Principles of Governance, and all handouts.
